Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) required.

Preferred Credentials: Nephrology Nursing certification preferred.

Unit Details: Renal-focused Med-Surg/Tele unit caring for patients with acute or chronic kidney disease, including end-stage renal disease and hemodialysis patients. Peritoneal dialysis patients; inpatient peritoneal dialysis treatments are done on the unit. Post-op urology and renal-related surgeries; common co-morbidities include diabetes, hypertension, infections, CHF, and electrolyte imbalances. Medical management of anemia, fluid overload, and renal-related complications. Skills and procedures include trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips titrated to HR not BP, peritoneal dialysis management, IV insertion, central line management, wound care, post-op monitoring, and cardiac monitoring with telemetry interpretation. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Phillips monitors, VS3 vital sign monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips, Dynamapp portable vital sign monitors, bladder scanners, portable oxygen systems, Glucommander, PCA pain management equipment, suction machines, and Home Choice peritoneal dialysis equipment.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation: 6 shifts on a 6 week schedule (6 out of 12 shifts). Travelers will work 75% of holidays. On-call: None.

Floating Requirements: Floats to all adult med-surg/telemetry units in house.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

• CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse) or the alternative certifications RN-BC, CNN
