University Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified

Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)

physician to join our growing Womens Service Line in San Antonio, Texas. This is a full-time, employed opportunity with a primary focus on outpatient high-risk obstetric care, supporting two new community hospitals-Palo Alto Hospital and Retama Hospital-both scheduled to open in 2027. These state-of-the-art facilities are designed to expand access to high-quality care across the region while remaining closely integrated with the systems tertiary care center. This role will primarily involve outpatient management of high-risk pregnancies, with inpatient responsibilities and complex cases supported by University Healths main Labor & Delivery unit. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule (Monday-Friday, daytime hours) with no routine weekend or holiday clinical responsibilities. Call coverage is shared and primarily consultative, ensuring appropriate triage and transfer of higher-acuity patients to the main campus, resulting in relatively light call burden.
Position Highlights:
$700K guaranteed salary plus incentives - Total compensation potential up to $800K +

Practice across new community hospital settings with strong tertiary support

Comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine services, including preconception counseling through delivery

Strong referral base of 80+ PCPs

Management of high-risk and medically complex obstetric patients (e.g., hypertensive disorders, diabetes, cardiac, renal, autoimmune, and other comorbidities)

Perform advanced procedures such as detailed ultrasound, amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, and management of multiple gestations

Access to advanced diagnostic and fetal evaluation technologies
