Job Summary

The Data Automation and AI Developer is an individual who supports the design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation using different LLMs, Microsoft Copilot and related Microsoft technologies. The role integrates approved REST APIs from third-party systems and custom applications to enable secure, reliable, and reusable business solutions. Working with business stakeholders, technical teams, and data owners, the position translates use cases into agent capabilities while following enterprise standards for security, data governance, responsible AI, and change control. The role applies existing experience to execute assigned tasks and responsibilities with limited supervision.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and Development, configuration, using Power Suite, Microsoft Copilot and approved Microsoft development resources, including prompts, topics, actions, connectors, and orchestration patterns.
• API and Application Integration Develop and support secure integrations with approved REST APIs from third-party systems and custom applications, including authentication, request and response handling, error management, and data mapping.
• Testing, Quality, and Release Support Test and validate agent functionality, response quality, security behavior, performance, and reliability. Document defects, support remediation, and assist with controlled releases.
• Requirements and Solution Design Gather requirements and translate business use cases into user stories, conversation flows, acceptance criteria, and solution designs with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, support procedures, data-flow descriptions, reusable components, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Continuous Learning and Standards Maintain current knowledge of Microsoft capabilities, AI agent development, REST API standards, responsible AI, security, and data governance through structured learning and team knowledge sharing.

Education:

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year University in one of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Software Development. Equivalent relevant education and demonstrated project experience may be considered.
• Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field with coursework, internship, capstone or project experience involving application development, APIs, automation, or cloud services.

Experience:

• Minimum Required: Professional-level role with 2+ years of prior hands-on development experience. Experienced Professional Academic, Intermediate Level or project experience developing software, automations, AI solutions, or API integrations is acceptable.
• Preferred Level: Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure services, Power Platform, Git or Azure DevOps, and integration with enterprise or third-party systems.

Skills:

• Minimum Required: Applied knowledge and solid understanding of software development concepts, REST API's, JSON, authentication concepts, prompt design, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. Strong analytical, communication, and learning skills.
• Preferred Level: Proficient knowledge of Copilot Studio, Azure services, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph or approved connectors. Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, C#, SQL, Git, CI/CD, API testing tools, security, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.

Pre-Requisite/ Qualification:

• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.
