Full job description
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic systems and support structure with a soldering iron or other hand tools to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings. Openings are currently available on first shift (7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F) at our PLY Building located at 925 US-169, Plymouth, MN 55441

Pay Range: $20.61-$21.65
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

What You'll Be Contributing
- Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
- Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
- Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.
- Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
- Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
- Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
- May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
- May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
- Other duties as assigned

Required

- Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges, and testers
- Attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day to perform hand solder with hot soldering iron, inspect boards under a microscope, make simple repairs, etc.
- Uses microscope for precision work and to perform inspections.
- Perform simple hand grasp and dexterity required to solder, encapsulate, correct defects, hold tools, etc.
- Ability to move, carry, or lift objects or materials weighing up to 30 pounds frequently

- Manufacturing environment - moderate noise level, indoor and climate-controlled
