Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: EKG interpretation and medication titration are required.

Special Requests: Requested time off must be submitted at application.

Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights. Common diagnoses and cases include MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgeries with chest tubes, esophagectomy patients (not fresh from PACU), and general-medical overflow. RNs titrate drips, mainly Cardizem and heparin. RNs handle CPAP/BiPAP when it is the patient’s home regimen; heated high flow is used only in special circumstances with COVID patients. The unit uses Philips telemetry monitors, and nurses must read and interpret their own strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; night shifts are Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Night-shift holiday rotation includes Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. No call or standby requirement at this time.

Floating Requirements: Floats to other general medical units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
