Lead Accountant Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial trends
• Solid bookkeeping skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems, including QuickBooks and SAP
• Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions

Lead Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Reconcile cost of sales for food, beverage, and labor across multiple restaurant locations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare period-end, store-level financial reporting including balance sheets and income statements
• Conduct variance analysis to support financial reviews
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy
• Oversee payroll reporting and ensure multi-unit tax and tip compliance
