Hiring Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) (RN)

Full Time Day Shift/Oncall

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing with the management and training of the nursing services staff and the overall management of resident care. The person holding this position is heldaccountable for carrying out and the decision making of the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Unencumbered, active RN licensure in the state of Tennessee.

  • Advanced education and/or experience in nursing management/administration (one year experience recommended).

  • Sincere desire to work with elders and others who have a limited capacity for self-care.

  • Mental and physical capacity to perform the essential job functions with or without accommodations.

  • Work with and provide care to individuals of a wide range of personality types and maturity levels.

  • Demonstrate creative initiative and mature judgment in making competent decisions.

  • Consistently maintain courteous, emphatic, and professional attitude.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all activity, persons, and records.

  • Communicate and comprehend orally and in writing to effectively receive and share information as necessary to perform job duties.

  • Willing to address each Resident by his/her preferred name.

  • Transportation accessible to enable flexibility of work schedule.

  • Knowledge of computer applications relating to job.
