Job Overview
The VP, Medical Group leads, manages, and supervises Health Services Regional Medical Directors with oversight of all medical clinic providers. The VP partners with Executive Physician and Operational Leadership (EPL-Ops) to integrate Dental, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Adult/Senior Care, and Specialty services and organizational strategies within the Health Services provider and value-based care model to achieve all organizational objectives and goals. The VP serves as an EPL member and provides comprehensive, coordinated, primary and preventive health care services to a diverse & underserved patient population across their lifespan. In performing this work, the VP ensures the execution of assuring access to high-quality, affordable, and caring health care across the entire delivery system. In addition, this position works in collaboration with AltaMed-affiliated companies to achieve common goals and execute on global strategies.
Minimum Requirements
Board Certified or Board eligible physician, Family Practice or Geriatrics preferred.
California License to practice medicine, and an unrestricted DEA License.
Minimum 12 years of experience leading and managing providers, clinical teams, and multiple outpatient health clinic settings.
Experience in a community health center setting working with underserved populations is preferred.
Experience developing and implementing individual, clinic, and system-level improvements.
Experience with managed care, administration of programs, and staff supervision, including staff at satellite clinics.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
Experience developing and leading medical quality improvement programs, preferably in a managed care setting.
Previous experience with computer-based systems required; Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Compensation
$384,410.83 - $434,232.34 annuallyCompensation Disclaimer

The range is subject to change. AltaMed is committed to ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package that reflects the candidate's value and the role's strategic importance within the organization.
