Ongoing assignment ‐‐ primarily inpatient with some outpatient coverage
12 patients per shift; call: 8 ‐ 12 patients per 24 hours
Beeper call ‐‐ 1/8 ratio with 30‐minute response time
Inpatient and outpatient practice setting
Upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy required
PEG, esophageal dilatation/manometry, and small bowel biopsy required
Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management required
ERCP not required
