Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2920 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required with any experience within the last 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Proficiency caring for all patient types across a variety of med-surg patients is required. - Experience with heparin is required. - Charge experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Telemetry/cardiac background is highly preferred. - Precepting experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - Former UPH FTE or PRN float-pool employees cannot work a travel assignment in another market, regardless of which UPH facility they currently work at or worked at within the past 12 months. This restriction does not apply to former UPH travel clinicians.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes all types of med-surg patients. - Heparin drips are used on the unit. - Telemetry monitoring is provided remotely.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week, with 36 per week accommodated if preferred. - Weekend rotation is every other or every 3rd weekend, depending on staffing/census. - Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Required to float across all campuses within the pertinent skillset/unit contracted for: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
