What We Do

Gecko Robotics is helping the world’s most important organizations ensure the availability, reliability, and sustainability of critical infrastructure. Gecko's complete and connected solutions combine wall-climbing robots, industry-leading sensors, and an AI-powered data platform to provide customers with a unique window into the current and future health of their physical assets. This enables real-time decision making to increase the efficiency and safety of operations, promote mission readiness, and protect the environment and civilization from the effects of infrastructure failure.

Role at a Glance

We're hiring a high-agency owner for Gecko's events and customer experience: conferences, trade shows, Gecko-hosted events, and VIP visits to our Pittsburgh headquarters. In this role, you'll own and execute how we tell Gecko's story to customers, investors, and the public — defining our global events and conference strategy, driving end-to-end event execution, and partnering with teams across Gecko to drive growth in key strategic areas. You'll define what great looks like and execute it end to end, holding yourself accountable for measurable outcomes, not activity.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage Gecko’s annual conferences and events calendar, aligning participation with business objectives and target markets

  • Define how Gecko shows up at each event — physical presence, messaging, and story — in partnership with the rest of the marketing and comms team

  • Lead end-to-end execution: logistics, vendor management, booth builds, on-site operations, off-site events

  • Coordinate and negotiate with event organizers and partners to secure speaking opportunities, sponsorship placements, and brand visibility

  • Represent Gecko on-site at conferences and industry events, confidently pitching prospects, partners, and stakeholders — and turning conversations into real business opportunities

  • Own the VIP visit experience at Gecko's Pittsburgh headquarters — curated, high-impact experiences for customers, partners, and senior stakeholders

  • Plan and run Gecko-hosted external events in Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, and elsewhere

  • Define and track event ROI — pipeline impact, account engagement, cost per meeting — not just activity

  • Build repeatable systems and vendor relationships that make each event faster and higher-quality than the last

About You

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience owning corporate events, trade shows, experiential marketing, or customer events from strategy through onsite execution.

  • High-agency operator with a “no job is too small” attitude — as comfortable shaping brand-level strategy as double-checking the on-site details

  • Skilled, highly autonomous project manager who can work cross-functionally to drive outcomes, often on tight timelines

  • Comfortable across strategy and execution — concepting an idea and running the floor on-site

  • Creative and generative, with an eye for design and a genuine knack for turning an ordinary moment into a memorable one

  • Deeply data-driven and outcomes-oriented: you think in pipeline and ROI, not activity

  • Ability to travel approximately 40–60%, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on the events calendar

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA
