Position Details
This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering ongoing casual shifts throughout the
year. Scheduling is based on business needs, and weekly shifts are not guaranteed.
Training is also provided before your first shift!
Schedule:
• Thursday & Friday: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary:
• $21/per hour
Responsibilities:
• Promote products and offer samples to shoppers in local Sobeys grocery stores
• Share key product information and answer customer questions
• Meet sampling targets while delivering engaging customer interactions
• Prepare simple food and beverage samples (e.g., coffee, desserts)
• Maintain a clean and organized sampling station (set up, maintain, and tear down)
• Complete reporting after each shift
• Must have Food Handler and Smart Serve Certificate prior to the interview
• Must be fully available Thursday-Sunday
• Previous customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred
• Confident engaging with customers and delivering key product messaging
• Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and assist with the setup and teardown of
the sampling station (all materials stored on-site)
• Access to a smartphone with photo capabilities and to complete reporting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and represent brands professionally in a retail
environment
