Overview:
Full Time Days Cardiac Sonographer II Piedmont Athens Regional
Responsibilities:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Qualifications:
Education
~ Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Required
Work Experience
~1 year of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer Required
Licenses and Certifications
BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Required or
ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required or
CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Required
