A growing consumer electronics company in SF seeks a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead hardware design, prototype, troubleshoot, and oversee mass production of rugged, high-performance products. Hands-on leadership and Asian manufacturing experience are key. San Francisco, onsite 4 days.

Hardware engineers who still want to engineer — this one's for you.

We are working on a Hardware Engineering Manager search in San Francisco for a growing consumer electronics company building rugged, high-performance products.

This is not a “manage from a distance” role.

The sweet spot? A Principal/Lead Engineer ready for leadership, or a hands-on Engineering Manager who still wants to prototype, troubleshoot, make architecture decisions, and take products all the way to mass production.

What will get our attention:

Strong EE / systems architecture background
Consumer electronics / wearables / audio / medical devices / rugged electronics
Products taken from development → high-volume manufacturing
Direct Asian ODM/JDM/CM manufacturing experience
Comfortable leading a small ME + EE + Firmware team
Still genuinely hands-on

San Francisco – 4 days onsite

$200K–$230K + bonus + equity

Taiwan travel approximately 2–4x/year
