Lead Sonographer

Wellstar seeks a Lead Sonographer to provide expert diagnostic ultrasound imaging and guide a collaborative, patient-centered team. In this role, you will perform and oversee a wide range of ultrasound exams, verify orders, obtain patient histories, and ensure exams meet clinical and safety standards. You will mentor sonographers and students, help optimize scheduling and workflow, and collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and nurses. The position supports quality improvement, protocol development, and staff education across Wellstar’s advanced, community-focused care settings.
