Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: ACLS certification is required.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Unit Details: Nursing ratio is 5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights; nurses may occasionally have 1 total care patient. The unit primarily serves stroke patients, including most strokes that do not need tPA, along with comfort-care or hospice patients. Post-operative cases include amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes. Cases and care needs include heparin drips, wound care, altered mental status, CIWA patients, AKI, dialysis, and COPD exacerbations.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
