Facilities Maintenance Superintendent, Building Projects

Location: Farmington, CT (On-site)
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Schedule: On-call availability required for urgent maintenance needs
Pay: $75,000 to $95,000 per year

Oversee construction, renovation, and maintenance projects that keep an active production facility modern, compliant, and running without disruption.

Must-Haves

• Proven ability to manage complex facility or construction projects in active production environments
• Knowledge of building codes and safety protocols
• Hands-on facilities maintenance skills
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality

What You'll Do

• Oversee facility construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage new building, expansion, renovation, and building systems modernization projects
• Provide input on budgets, cost estimates, and project financials
• Maintain project schedules with the Department Manager
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations
• Coordinate contractors and internal teams to minimize disruption to operations
• Deliver accurate project reporting, forecasts, and progress updates
• Manage daily maintenance tasks in MaintainX
• Perform hands-on maintenance when needed to keep operations on track

Nice-to-Haves

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Experience with sustainability and building systems upgrades
• CMMS experience, especially MaintainX

Compensation and Benefits

• $75,000 to $95,000 per year
