TWA Hotel JFK NYC

The Event Specialist is responsible for supporting the Events team and working with hotel group clients to ensure a successful event.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with hotel group clients to ensure a successful event by serving as the housing and billing contact from pre-arrival through departure.
  • Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received.
  • Identify guest reservation needs, determine the appropriate room type, and verify availability of the room type and rate.
  • Accommodate and document special requests.
  • Set up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies.
  • Properly track event deposits received, including group advance deposits and final payments.
  • Prepare Preliminary Group Bills and Final Group Bills.
  • Prepare, review, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
  • Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure successful groups from pre-arrival through final billing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • College preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude for self-motivation.
  • A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
