Unit Manager RN or LPN

We are seeking an experienced nurse with a passion for excellence in resident care to fill the position of Unit Manager at our large 166-bed North Canton facility. As a critical member of our leadership team, you will provide assistance to the Director of Nursing in the planning, implementation, direction, and evaluation of operations pertaining to the nursing services department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating operations pertaining to the nursing services department

  • Provide support and education to the Nursing Staff

  • Maintain a collaborative and efficient workplace with high attention to quality standards

  • Utilize outstanding clinical assessment/judgement skills to make informed decisions

  • Develop and lead a high-performing nursing team

  • Foster a positive team mindset and excellent communication and listening skills

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in long-term care

  • Strong clinical assessment/judgement skills

  • Wound care management experience (highly desired)

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • High organization standards

  • Experience with state survey process

  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations
