Central Transport LLC one of nation’s most trusted and technologically advanced LTL distribution service, is presently seeking out Parts Clerk candidates for our Detroit, MI shop. We are looking for energetic, forward thinking, and motivated candidates to manage in this fast-paced environment. If you are looking for a rewarding career, this opportunity may be right for you.

SCHEDULE: 5AM-3:30PM (MON-FRI)

A successful candidate has:

  • 1-2 years in a shop or maintenance environment preferred
  • Exceptional organizational & communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. to physically move stock in the facility
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications and the ability to type proficiently

Responsibilities include:

  • Administrative duties to support the location’s Shop Manager
  • Sort, review, organize and file various documentation (i.e preventative maintenance forms, invoices, printed emails, employee files)
  • Utilize company software to order, review, send, receive and track parts in inventory as well as the ability to review mechanic’s repair orders for accurate part disposition daily.
  • Create, keep, and remind shop management of appointments and other priorities/tasks
  • Answer phone calls and emails, find the appropriate person to handle the issue or take a message and follow up.
  • Communicate daily with shop leads to monitor timelines on projects/repairs.
