Position Summary

Help fulfill the university’s mission by teaching students and providing content expertise in the following courses:

• Arithmetic

• Beginning Algebra

• Intermediate Algebra

Additional responsibilities include advising students and other department and university assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Advanced degree required (master’s or doctorate) in mathematics, with professional or teaching experience.

Background and experience in one or more of the following is desirable:

• Mathematics

• Math education

• Developmental education

• General education

Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to and potential for excellence in teaching.

Work Schedule

VISITING FACULTY: This is a one-year contract, renewable for up to three academic years in total.

Visiting faculty members teach 36-39 load hours annually, across Fall, Winter, and Spring Semesters. In the days immediately preceding and following semesters, faculty members attend meetings, grade papers, perform professional development activities, etc. Semesters last approximately 14 weeks, and annual faculty contracts cover 47.5 weeks.
