POSITION TITLE: Director, Project Controls

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Director of Project Controls to provide national leadership and oversight across the Project Controls regional operations support organization. This role serves as a senior people leader with an emphasis in executing department-wide standardization and process excellence. The Director builds talent within the regional Project Controls organization and acts as the first-line escalation point for operations leadership and senior Project Controls Managers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and enforce a uniform, national Project Controls (PC) standard across all regions
  • Analyze regional performance data to identify trends, root causes of inefficiency, and improvement opportunities
  • Drive initiatives that reduce errors, shorten cycle times, and increase resource utilization across the PC support function
  • Serve as the PC representative and single point of contact for the Opp to Award workflow on new programs
  • Ensure a smooth handoff and onboarding of new programs into standard PC processes and systems
  • Lead recurring training sessions and best-practice discussions across the regional PC teams
  • Build a pipeline of future Project Controls leadership through coaching and mentorship of high-potential team members
  • Performs other position duties when requested

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 8+ years Project Controls, administrative, or operational leadership experience
  • 5+ years people leadership
  • 3+ years working directly with executive‑level leadership (VP / President level)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
