Job Description:

Benefits

  • Pay rate: $20.00 per hour

  • Hours: 15 hours per week

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday

  • Stepping stone into a career in education or other professions you desire, with transferable skills.

  • Help support your community to grow and thrive 

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience is required (we will train you) 

  • Available Monday through Friday, 15 hours per week

  • Ability to reliably commute to Antioch

  • Commitment to social justice and leadership

  • Passionate about learning and youth development: TK/K

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Must be able to provide a work permit

  • Must be able to provide 2 reference letters

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with students and families

  • Basic English reading proficiency to support students' academic development, enrichment offerings, and school day alignment.

Preferred: Able to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment

  • Collaborate with adult instructors to support their (youth-driven curriculum)

  • Model BACR Best Practices (See employee handbook for Best Practices)

  • Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times

  • Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language
