The Opportunity:

The Hylant Internship Program will offer you an exceptional opportunity to join a cohort of other talented interns, where you’ll gain practical experience, build vital skills, and forge meaningful connections within the insurance industry. 

Join Hylant’s Information Technology Summer Internship to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity, help desk, or software development within a leading insurance firm.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Provide technical support to internal users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining workstations, devices, and network connections.
• Help monitor systems for security threats and support incident response efforts.
• Participate in testing and documenting software applications or updates.
• Support data entry, system audits, and inventory tracking.
• Collaborate with IT teams on projects related to infrastructure, hardware, software, cybersecurity, or development.
• Work under mentorship from Hylant leaders throughout the summer.
  

About You

What you'll need:

• Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university, or graduated within the past seven months.
• Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to work from one of Hylant’s office locations nationwide.
• Availability to work from May 18-August 13, 2027, with some flexibility.
• Interest in a long-term career in insurance.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or part-time job recommended.
• Major in Risk Management and Insurance, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, IT, Business, HR, or Communications preferred but not required.
• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer; Hylant cannot provide H-1B visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

• Eligibility to apply for a $5,000 scholarship upon successful completion for juniors or seniors.

Training & Development

• Participate in a six-week “Intro to Insurance” self-guided course covering industry terminology and practices.
• Engage in summer-long professional development courses to enhance soft skills and personal potential.
• Work collaboratively with mentors and Hylant leaders throughout the internship.
• Participate in the Hylant Innovation Challenge, consulting with executive leadership on real business solutions.

Career Progression

• Successful interns at junior or senior standing may be eligible for scholarships and long-term career opportunities within the insurance industry.
