Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1820 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Paragon is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Rural hospital experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. No previous employment allowed at this facility.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD. RNs titrate heparin only. Telemonitor technicians monitor patients; RNs read strips. The unit cares for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow therapy. Charting will transition from Paragon to Epic on October 30, 2026.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 hours per week or 36/48 hours biweekly. Travelers will be scheduled based on facility needs. Every other weekend required. Holidays are required. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float to all medical-surgical units, possibly to the PCU to care for telemetry holds before transfer.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
