Lead Highway Engineer

Our ideal candidate has 9-15 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Additionally, we offer a creative, flexible, supportive and fun environment!

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as Technical Lead for highway-oriented projects
• Serve as mentor to junior Highway Design Department staff
• Perform Business Development activities including attending professional society events
• Manage project schedules and budgets
• Assist with Quality Control/Quality Assurance Reviews

Job Requirements

• 9-15 years of experience

• NJ PE License

• Previous experience with NJDOT is preferred

• Experience working on County Projects, DRPA and DRJTBC is a bonus

• Served as a Highway Task Leader or Lead Designer

• Participated in preparation of technical and price proposals

• Willing to attend marketing events

• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Valid Driver’s License

Pay Range: $115,000 - $165,000 (depending on qualifications)
