The Registered Nurse (RN) provides rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients with acute illness, injury, and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life-saving interventions.
Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered.
Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization.
Operate and monitor emergency and life-support equipment.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Current and valid state RN License.Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):
EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.Non-OB facilities: Trauma designated facilities: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintain. Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred.
