Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2580 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away. Can approve 40 hours for time off.

Unit Details: Patient ratio is 1:4 on days/weekends and 1:5 on nights. Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population with respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. Nurse-driven heparin infusions, insulin drips via Glucomander, telemetry, nurse-driven flu vaccination, and CAPD.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 hours. Every other weekend; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
