Sign on bonus eligible: Up to $15,000 United Health Services is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Nurse to join our Gastroenterology (GI) team at Binghamton General Hospital. The GI RN Staff Nurse plays a critical role in protecting, promoting, and optimizing the health and abilities of our patients. This role is responsible for delivering direct nursing care within the Gastroenterology (GI) setting, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, and monitoring patient status with timely response to changes in condition. The RN also provides education to patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and recovery, while ensuring accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.
• Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
