Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for monoclonal antibodies, bioconjugates, and aseptic drug product manufacturing in Goochland County, Virginia. This facility is intended to provide capacity for current and future products. The successful candidate will help to build the organization, the facility and the culture to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to support our new Manufacturing Facility in Goochland County, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
The maintenance element of the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contract for facility management and maintenance service.
Managing of external contractors involved in maintenance of facilities to ensure quality of work and compliance with all company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Providing key expertise and technical leadership in the areas of facility maintenance.
The development of technical systems, processes and best practices for the facility management program.
The reliability strategies, identification of failure modes and development of mitigation strategy within the IFM maintenance program
Ensuring site compliance to corporate standards and guidelines for facility management.
Coordinating the governance team for IFM outsourced services
Developing, issuing and maintaining of key performance metrics for the facilities services.
Review inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Leadership:
Partner with Site HSE Team to ensure site compliance of IFM
Lead/Coordinate the event investigations, CAPA and change control processes within facility management team
Lead the ongoing development of asset management strategy including the collection and analysis of data relating to asset condition, maintenance costs, reliability, risk and obsolescence, relevant assets management plans.
Lead the development of recapitalization plans for facility management area.
Identify, propose and promote opportunities to reduce costs.
Act as User Rep for larger Re-capitalization projects associated with facility management area.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Facility or Maintenance Engineering Teams, preferably in a manufacturing GMP environment.

Additional Skill/Preferences:
Project Management experience
LEED Certification preferred
Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services
Previous experience of owning a facility management program.
Confident in talking to a wide range of people to build relationships, and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with site stakeholders including site lead team, production, quality, safety and global engineering.
Minimal travel required <10%.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$66,000 - $171,600Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
