Job Description
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Cook to join our cafeteria team. The position of cook; with dishwashing responsibilities provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practices Serve Safe Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe is practiced at all times.
- Prepares catering functions and consistently maintains quality by ensuring catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered
- Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time and are ready on time for tray line.
- Ensures proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 Years Institutional Cooking.
- ServSafe Food Safety Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospital cooking experience
The pay range for this position is $21.24 - $31.88.
