Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic in North Tonawanda, NY. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in the delivery and documentation of individualized treatment plans, focusing on improving patient mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
  • Provide hands-on support to patients as they engage in therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and activities designed to enhance physical health and reduce discomfort.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques regarding body mechanics and introduce home exercise programs to facilitate ongoing recovery.
  • Administer various treatment modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Continuously monitor and document patient progress, assessing factors such as range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional advancements.
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all therapeutic equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for each session.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize patient care, participating in case reviews to coordinate rehabilitation strategies that best suit each patient's needs.
  • Support patients emotionally, helping to cultivate a motivating atmosphere throughout their rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain ethical practices and uphold patient confidentiality, respecting the rights of all individuals in our care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes with sports injuries, children requiring developmental rehabilitation, older adults facing mobility challenges, and individuals with neurological conditions. Understanding the unique needs of each patient group will be crucial in tailoring effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following:

  • An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
