Full job description
Lankenau Medical Center is seeking experienced and passionate OB/GYN Faculty Members to join our esteemed residency program. With a cohort of 16 residents, and over 25 volunteer faculty members, this role offers a unique opportunity to blend clinical practice with resident education, shaping the future of obstetrics and gynecology.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice (0.7 FTE)
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, delivery, postpartum care, and gynecologic surgeries
Participate in labor and delivery coverage, including on-call responsibilities
Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up visits
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Call not to exceed 1:6/7
Educational Duties (0.3 FTE)
Serve as a preceptor for residents, offering hands-on training and mentorship in clinical and surgical settings
Participate in the development and implementation of the residency curriculum under direction of the residency program director in compliance with ACGME standards
Conduct educational sessions, including lectures, case discussions, and simulation training
Evaluate resident performance and provide constructive feedback
Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conference presentations
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Two years of experience required
