Full job description
Physician / Clinical Leadership
Oversees physicians and surgeons involved in perioperative operations, including co-management agreements across surgical specialties.
Works in a dyad partnership with the Vice President of Perioperative Services to ensure effective clinical operations and support the development and enforcement of clinical policies.
Collaborates with the Department Chief of Surgery to help lead the Perioperative Services Executive Committee (PSEC) and maintains communication on physician-related initiatives and priorities.
Medical Staff Office
Collaborates with Medical Staff leadership on matters related to physicians utilizing perioperative services, including governance, compliance, and risk management.
Supports resolution of physician and APP concerns while promoting a culture of accountability and engagement.
Quality & Accreditation
Partners with clinical and operational leaders to improve quality, patient safety, and surgical outcomes across perioperative services.
Supports accreditation readiness and compliance efforts.
Physician Relations
Builds strong relationships with physicians and APPs, supporting engagement and continuing medical education initiatives.
Education & Experience
MD or DO required, board certified/admissible
Minimum 5 years of experience in surgery or perioperative practice
Demonstrated leadership in clinical and/or medical staff roles
