Overview:Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Position Details:
Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W
Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128
Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week
Shift: Days 7a-7p
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certification
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisor experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
