Full job description
The Accounting Analyst enters and maintains financial transactions in Dynamics 365, supports journal entries and account reconciliations, and provides detailed reporting and analysis in Excel. This role offers a strong opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to contribute to a major transition project while serving as a key support partner to financial leadership.
Responsibilities- Enter and maintain financial transactions in Dynamics 365 with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post approximately 4 to 6 journal entries per month, ensuring proper supporting documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
- Support account reconciliations, including tariff revenue and expenditure reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Track and report tariff revenue, tariff expenditures, and raw material usage to support financial transparency and operational decision-making.
- Assist with data compilation and reporting in Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses in Excel to support strategic and operational initiatives.
- Help manage vendor invoice documentation, including organizing, tracking, and maintaining supporting records.
- Provide general accounting support activities, including routine bookkeeping tasks and general ledger activity review.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Financial Transformation by supporting strategic initiatives while consistently handling routine accounting responsibilities.
- Participate in the company’s financial transformation efforts by providing accurate data, insights, and process support.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience with journal entries.
- Hands-on experience with reconciliation activities, including account and tariff-related reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits and their impact on financial statements.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and posting journal entries.
- Solid knowledge of reconciliations and general ledger activity.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Ability to support both strategic initiatives and routine accounting work with attention to detail and reliability.
- Bookkeeping or Staff Accountant level background.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 is helpful; training is available for candidates willing to learn.
- Comfort working in a changing environment and supporting financial transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with finance leadership and other stakeholders.
This is a fully onsite position based in Florham Park, with a typical start time between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. and a standard 40-hour workweek. The role operates within a structured accounting and finance environment that uses Dynamics 365 as the core ERP system and relies heavily on Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management. The Accounting Analyst works closely with financial leadership and is expected to be present on site to support day-to-day operations and ongoing financial transformation initiatives.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
