Now Hiring: Full-Time Night Shift Registered Nurse – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit.
  • Care for patients with complex medical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, shock, multi-organ dysfunction, diabetic emergencies, gastrointestinal bleeds, and other critical illnesses.
  • Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), vasoactive infusions, arterial lines, central venous catheters, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, recognize subtle changes in condition, and initiate timely interventions using evidence-based critical care practices.
  • Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Respond rapidly to medical emergencies while utilizing critical thinking and advanced clinical judgment.
  • Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care while providing compassionate, patient-centered support.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that promote exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ADN required.
  • Current valid North Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license required.
  • One year of ICU, critical care, Emergency Department, or relevant acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within organizational guidelines.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education:
    - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
    - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

  • Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

    - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
