A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest quality standards, lead supplier qualifications, and resolve non-conformance issues, all while developing strong working relationships with global suppliers to support business continuity and product excellence.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines, and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest quality standards, lead supplier qualifications, and resolve non-conformance issues, all while developing strong working relationships with global suppliers to support business continuity and product excellence.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead product and process qualification (PPQ) activities at supplier sites.
- Manage and resolve quality issues related to non-conforming supplier components identified at Siemens Energy Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) facilities, warehouses, or customer locations.
- Oversee root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Audit existing and potential suppliers to assess manufacturing capability and ensure robust quality systems are in place.
- Drive supplier development to meet current and future product quality and manufacturing requirements, investigate and address manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to maintain delivery performance and mitigate risks.
- Identify and support cost reduction opportunities in partnership with the Strategic Business and Supply Chain teams. Contribute to product manufacturing improvement through regular on-site presence at supplier locations
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in quality, mechanical, electrical engineering or in a related field.
- 5+ years working with or within manufacturing facilities on critical components (e.g. discs, shafts, complex assemblies) or in a related role.
- Manufacturing processes, quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001), inspection methodologies.
- Interpreting technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Able to collaborate with engineering teams to ensure component manufacturability.
- Managing multiple complex investigations and supplier quality issues from start to finish.
- Root cause analysis tools and quality improvement methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa. Familiar w/ SAP or similar ERP is a plus.
- You will be required to travel up to 50% to supplier/vendor sites
