Full job description
School Based Speech-Language Pathologist provides assessment, therapy, and collaboration with school staff to support students with communication disorders. The role spans a 39-week contract in Conway, SC, delivering individualized therapy and integrating strategies into classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement speech therapy plans aligned with individual student needs.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine speech or language impairments.
Provide direct therapy to students with various communication disorders.
Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state policies.
Support educational goals by integrating therapeutic strategies into classroom activities.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or equivalent.
SLP certification or licensure required by South Carolina.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with elementary level students.
Must work dayshift hours.
Must pass background check and required immunizations or health screenings.
Ability to follow school calendar schedule (August 10th start, June 9th end).
Preferred Skills:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting. (Preferred)
