If you take pride in building precision tooling from the ground up and enjoy solving complex machining challenges, this is an opportunity to join a respected custom tool and die shop where craftsmanship still matters. You'll work on a wide variety of projects—not the same part day after day—and play a key role in creating the tools that keep manufacturing moving.


Whether you're an experienced Tool & Die Maker or have completed a formal apprenticeship and are ready for your next challenge, this is an opportunity to grow with a company that invests in its people. This position is on-site in Laotto, IN.


Tool & Die Maker Compensation & Benefits:

  • $26 to $38 - based on experience
  • Day shift hours: 7 AM to 3:30 PM

Tool & Die Maker Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience using manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders
  • Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation skills
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tool & Die apprenticeship or formal technical training
  • Technical degree or certification in Tool & Die
  • CNC programming and machining experience
  • Wire EDM and sinker EDM experience
  • Experience building custom tooling, fixtures, molds, or dies

Tool & Die Maker Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models
  • Build, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, molds, fixtures, jigs, and gauges
  • Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision machining equipment
  • Assemble, fit, and adjust tooling components to exact specifications
  • Test completed tooling to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance
  • Modify existing tooling to improve functionality or support engineering changes
  • Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform repairs as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
