24 hr. call shifts ‐‐ 7 am to 7 am, 4 shifts per month
Thursday through Sunday (ending Monday morning)
Approximately 30,000 ED visits per year
15% admission rate of trauma patients
Sub‐specialty backup ‐‐ general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and ENT
General surgery and trauma surgery skills required
Hospital privileges required
