Your Role:
As an Experienced Solar Roof Lead , you'll work as part of a 3-person crew alongside licensed electricians to install residential solar energy systems safely, efficiently, and to Simply Solar's high standards. You'll take the lead on all roof-related work and help deliver top-tier solar installations that power California homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret solar plan sets and layouts
* Install residential solar systems on various roof types
* Lead roof layouts and complete roof penetrations
* Ensure all racking is level, secure, and properly grounded
* Bend and run rooftop conduit for solar wiring
* Perform basic electrical connections (home runs, jumper wires, etc.)
* Manage roof-top safety and fall protection in compliance with OSHA
* Install tilt kits, solar panels, and related components
* Represent Simply Solar with professionalism and a positive attitude
Qualifications
* 1.5+ years of solar installation or roofing experience (minimum)
* Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Experience with battery systems or ground mounts (preferred)
* Crew leadership or training experience (a plus)
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
