Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team in the health and safety space. This unique position combines the healthcare and engineering sectors, offering a challenging and rewarding role for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring the health and safety of our employees, and integrating nursing best practices into our multi-site operations.

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Nursing, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

1. Overseeing all nursing operations within our organization, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality healthcare delivery.
2. Developing, implementing, and maintaining nursing policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
3. Collaborating with our executive team to integrate nursing best practices to promote health and safety.
4. Providing leadership and direction to our nursing staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
5. Coordinating with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
6. Conducting regular staff meetings to discuss changes in regulations, updates on patient care, and improvements in procedures.
7. Participating in budget development for the nursing department, monitoring, and controlling resources effectively.
8. Ensuring continuous professional development for the nursing staff through training and education.
9. Managing patient complaints and ensuring high patient satisfaction.
10. Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and overseeing the disciplinary process within the nursing department.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required. A Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
2. A current registered nurse (RN) or nurse practitioner (NP) license.
3. A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
4. Experience overseeing multi-site healthcare operations.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care, and regulatory compliance.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
8. Proficient in using healthcare software and computer systems.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
