Equipment Technician - Manufacturing

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will be working with molding and demolding of shell blocks for core manufacturing. This role contains tasks that can include liner cleaning and preparation, liner block assembly and transfer to ovens, operation of molding block vibration/vacuum chambers and operation of induction slurry heating and mixing equipment. All molding tasks must be completed according to production specifications to produce parts of exceptional quality in the Gibsonton Florida Location.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Sets up and operates core V-blender to blend ceramic powders, using hand tools, including wrenches and Allen wrenches.
• Performs laboratory testing, particle size testing, Loss on Ignition and Modulus of Rupture testing (MOR).
• Responsible for set-up and basic troubleshooting operations of core blend and mixing machines and auxiliary equipment also plans and lays out work for weekly production and schedule of the core mix.
• Processes the blend or mix according to engineering specifications and replenishes core mix throughout the shift as needed, using lifting devices to transfer ceramic flours into V-blender.
• Maintain the flow and quality of the mix based on inventory.
• Clean and maintain equipment for organization and safety by performing basic or specifically defined maintenance operations; cooperate with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.

What You Bring

• Evidence of a completed High School or GED is required.
• Ability to read Engineering instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
