Medical Surgical Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse- $1360 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: - Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit. - Uses IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals. - Typical procedures include wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend shifts. - On-call when census is low.

Floating Requirements: - May float to 6A, 3A, 3South, and 4South.

10 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• IV Therapy Certification (Intravenous Therapy Certification)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
