Job Summary

Monday-Friday 1st Shift, flexibility to support different shifts consistently

The Training Specialist will help support the development and implementation of learning solutions in the Worcester Distribution Center. This person will play a key role in directing, coordinating, and delivering leadership training as well as new hire orientation and onboarding. The Training Specialist will work closely with the L&D team to support foundational programs such as New Hire Onboarding (GWA and Leaders), TJX Internship Program, and the Distribution Leadership Program.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Delivers, monitors, coaches, and guides leadership and operational training for Distribution Center Associates.
  • Provides coaching, facilitates discussions, and makes recommendations for developmental
  • Designs, develops and edits training materials and documentation (i.e. job aids, visuals, leader's guides, workbooks, trainer outlines) to support all training programs.
  • Participates in needs assessment, design, development and delivery of training/development solutions.
  • Follows up on programs to support learners and their leaders in transferring skills back to

the job through continuous coaching and feedback.

  • Plans, schedules, and manages onboarding plans for new leadership.
  • Supports the success of programs through partnership with building and Network leaders as well as administrative support (e.g., Distribution Leadership Program, Internship Program, Industrial Truck Program, etc.).
  • Performs special projects as assigned or directed and delivers

Essential Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Passion for supporting the development of people and building relationships in a collaborative environment
  • Experience coaching/counseling associate to include positive and constructive feedback
  • 1-2 years training experience (may include design and development of training programs)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word
  • Experience in an administrative position involving HR related tasks
  • Strong communication, presentation, writing, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
