• 24 hr. call shifts ‐‐ 7 am to 7 am, 4 shifts per month
• Thursday through Sunday (ending Monday morning)
• Approximately 30,000 ED visits per year
• 15% admission rate of trauma patients
• Sub‐specialty backup ‐‐ general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and ENT
• General surgery and trauma surgery skills required
• Hospital privileges required
