Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Required Skills/Experience: Telemetry interpretation required. Telemetry monitoring required.

Special Requests: WB and CXS parking permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits; the WMC permit is available monthly. The WMC monthly permit costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days and provides 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage. The WB annual permit costs $196.20/year; Carmack Lots 2 and 3 are approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center, with Pink Shuttle service every 3–5 minutes during peak times and an approximately 8–9-minute ride. The CXS annual permit costs $393.96/year.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Common diagnoses include all subtypes of breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, as well as encounters for antineoplastic chemotherapy. 17 James cares for all solid tumor cancers throughout the cancer journey, from new diagnosis through treatment and transition to end-of-life care. Unit focus includes infection prevention protocols and patient falls. The unit also cares for patients with medical-surgical issues. Equipment includes B450 monitors with a GE telemetry system, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds.

Shift & Scheduling: Day and night shifts only; day shifts run 7:00–19:30 and night shifts run 19:00–7:30. Weekends are variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: Floating is required to other MedSurg Oncology units.
