Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to titrate drips/gtts. - Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Unit Details: - Cardiac/telemetry unit caring for cardiac patients, CR bands, post-cath, AMI, post-op lung surgeries after transfer from CCU, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post-PCI patients. - Occasional titratable/set-rate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro up to 50 mcg. - CPAP and BiPap only; RT manages. - Uses Philips monitors. - No stepdown patients, no sheath pulls, and no art lines. - Charge nurse available 24/7; nights charge nurse takes a patient assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday). - Holidays rotate with permanent staff.

Floating Requirements: - Floats to any MedSurg/Tele unit.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
