The Underwriting Analyst will support the Environmental Underwriting Team.
Candidates should be organized, disciplined insurance support professionals that can work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Responsibilities will include the following but is not limited to:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain underwriting account clearance system
Perform ratings
Issue binders/policies/endorsements on behalf of the Environmental underwriting staff
Create and maintain underwriting files
Collect renewal information and prepare renewal submissions for underwriters
Maintain business logs (renewal lists, NB lists etc.) as required
Respond to brokers’ questions and troubleshoot in a timely fashion
SKILLS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
1 – 2 years of related experience preferred (Insurance Internships will be considered)
Accuracy and proficiency in typing and proofreading;
Excellent organization and time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
Good communication skills both verbal and listening
An independent, detailed self-starter
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
